Compassionate Cancer Care – Close to Home

Good medical care is more than just treating cancer itself. Cancer can affect every aspect of your life: your mood, your diet, and your family. You can become overwhelmed. At Gila Regional Cancer Center (GRCC) their focus is on treating a patient as an individual to be cared for, not a medical condition to be treated.

Chemotherapy

The Gila Regional Cancer Center receives over 500 patient visits a month in its new chemotherapy treatment suite. During treatments patients are encouraged to relax in the home-like environment complete with comfortable recliners, sunny skylights and healing music. Personal DVD players are available for movie watching and volunteers offer refreshments or something from the café. GRCC is family oriented and encourage patients to bring a care partner with them.

State-of-the-Art Radiology

Radiation therapy is now available at GRCC. This means less travel coupled with less expense in overnight stays and high gas prices. Being close to home gives you more time to spend with the ones you love.

The Cancer Center maintains staff  of three medical oncologists from the New Mexico Cancer Center who provide a minimum of six clinics per month. Two radiation oncologists provide weekly clinic services. Additions to the team include two full-time radiation therapists who provided daily radiation treatments for our patients, and a physicist that makes weekly visits to the center.
