Financial Assistance at Gila Regional Medical Center

Gila Regional Medical Center is dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered care. Understanding the financial challenges that medical expenses can bring, we offer a robust Financial Assistance Program to support patients in need. Our goal is for each of our patients and their families to have the best healthcare experience possible. For the convenience of our patients, a number of online services are available.

Eligibility and Application 

This program is available for uninsured or under-insured patients who meet specific criteria based on residency status, medical necessity, and financial eligibility. Assistance is provided regardless of race, color, national origin, ancestry, sex, physical or mental handicap, religion, age, spousal affiliation, sexual orientation, or gender identification. To apply, please make sure to do the following: 

  • Review our Financial Assistance Program policy 
  • Complete the application form 
  • Submit required documentation to demonstrate eligibility

Insurance, Payment Plans, and Discounts 

We offer various payment plans to help you manage your medical expenses. Discounts for self-pay patients are also available, with additional incentives for prompt payments. If you anticipate difficulty paying your bill, please reach out to our financial services office. Gila Regional Medical Center accepts a wide range of insurance plans, including:

We will bill your insurance provider directly for services received at Gila Regional Medical center. Financial arrangements should be in place at the time of admission, including any necessary deposits to cover deductibles and co-pays.

Financial service office hours are available from 8 am to 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday. We are here to help you receive the care you need, regardless of financial standing. 

Part of our commitment is to provide you with information that helps you make well informed decisions about your own care.To ask questions or get more information about a bill for services you've received, please contact our Customer Call Center at (575) 538-4000.If you need more information about the price of a future service, please contact our Price Hotline at (575) 538-4000. A CPT code is strongly encouraged when you call. You can obtain the CPT code from the ordering physician. 

Gila Medical Center's Charity Care Policy 

Gila Medical Center provides high quality care to everyone, regardless of their ability to pay. Gila Medical Center's charity care policy includes: 

  • Substantial charity care guidelines that provide free care for individuals and families who earn less than 200 percent of the federal poverty level. 
  • Sliding scale fees to provide substantially discounted care for individuals and families who are between 200 and 400 percent of the federal poverty level. 
  • Hardship policy for those patients who would not otherwise qualify for charity care but have unique circumstances. 

In many cases, Gila Medical Center offers interest free loans for up to one year to assist patients.
